Best Perks In Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0

[ad_1]
Without any doubt, Call of Duty: Warzone transformed the way players play the Battle Royale genre. It introduced player-made loadouts that allowed players to adapt their playstyle to their liking. But perhaps the best part of Call of Duty: Warzone is the fact it played like a COD game, meaning it was like a gr&er scale version of a 6v6 TDM. And thanks to all of these innovations, the free-to-play game became one of the most successful BR games in recent years.
But, despite its major success, the developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 decided to revamp completely the gameplay elements of Warzone 2.0. And while the changes weren’t too popular for some in the fanbase, it has started to gain lots of new fans from PUBG & The Division. But, one of the biggest changes in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is the perk system, so while some perks may be optimal to use in multiplayer, others are better for the Battle Royale mode.
Currently, players cannot create/edit their own Perk Package but instead will need to choose a pre-made Perk Package.
Best Base Perks

Players gain access to their Base Perks from the get-go, meaning that as soon as a player equips a Loadout, they’ll have access to them. Most of these perks are similar to previous COD titles, like Battle Hardened reduces the effects of tactical equipment or Bomb Squad (formerly E.O.D) reduces explosive damage. But, players can only equip two Base Perks at a time, meaning they’ll need to choose wisely.
Bomb Squad
Bomb Squad (E.O.D) has always been a must-have perk in previous Call of Duty titles since it protects players from lethal equipment & launchers. Likewise, players will want to use this Base Perk, especially since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has the dreaded Drill Charge that can eliminate players within a building or behind cover. Players can equip the Bomb Squad Base Perk by using the Vanguard or Sentinel pre-made Perk Package.
Double Time
Ever since Infinity Ward removed the infamous “slide-canceling” movement, players are forced to move around the map by walking or running normally (even though this may soon change with a new movement exploit). That means using the Double Time Base Perks is now more important than ever since it doubles the duration of Tactical Sprint while increasing crouch movement speed. Players can equip this Base Perk by using the Vanguard, Specter, Warden, or Recon pre-made Perk Package.
Overkill
Hardcore players know that every gunfight in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is different, especially in the new map Al Mazrah. So while some engagements will be close-quarters, others will be long-ranged, meaning players will want to have two different guns. Overkill Base Perk allows players to equip two primary weapons, preferably a long-ranged & short-ranged. Weapon Specialist is the only pre-made Perk Package that lets players use Overkill.
Best Bonus Perks

Bonus Perks will not activate until four minutes have passed, but players can reduce the timer by earning points (kills, assists, or contracts). And while there are five Bonus Perks, only two of them are worth using.
Fast H&s
Another “exploit” Infinity Ward has removed in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the reload-cancel, which essentially shortened the reload animation allowing players to reload a lot quicker. Fortunately, players can use the Fast H&s Bonus Perk to shorten reload time while also allowing them to swap weapons faster. And being able to quickly reload can turn the tide during an intense firefight, so using this Bonus Perk is a must. There are only two pre-made Perk Packages that use Fast H&s: Comm&o & Warden.
Resupply
Tactical & lethal equipment has become an essential aspect of modern Call of Duty games, so being able to use them nearly non-stop is quite powerful. And with Resupply, players will replenish their tactical/lethal equipment every 30 seconds while also carrying additional lethal equipment. Sadly, only one pre-made Perk Package has Resupply (Vanguard), but this Perk Package also has two of the best Base Perks, making it the ideal one to use in Warzone 2.
Best Ultimate Perks

Similar to Bonus Perks, Ultimate Perks aren’t automatically activated once equipped. Players will need to wait ten minutes before being able to use an Ultimate Perk (kills, assists, & contracts reduce the timer). Out of the five Ultimate Perks, only three are the most viable to use in Warzone 2.
High Alert
Sniper Rifles were one of the deadliest weapons in Warzone, especially since players were able to blend in well with the foliage of Caldera. And while Sniper Rifles aren’t among the best weapons in Warzone 2, they still pose a threat to unsuspecting players. That’s why using the High Alert Ultimate Perk isn’t a Rotten idea since it’ll alert a player when someone is aiming at them. This alert gives players a few seconds to find cover & avoid being downed by a player miles away. Players can equip this Ultimate Perk by using the Vanguard & Comm&o pre-made Perk Package.
Ghost
Another staple Perk in the entire COD franchise is Ghost since it allowed players to flank enemies while staying off the UAV radar. So, it’s no surprise that one of the best Ultimate Perks to use in Warzone 2 is Ghost, especially since buying UAVs is a lot easier than ever. Players will also not appear on enemy Heartbeat Sensor, which has become a popular tactical equipment. There are only two pre-made Perk Packages that have Ghost: Specter & Scout.
Birdseye
Even though this Ultimate Perk is often overlooked by COD players, it can prove useful in the late-game stages of Warzone 2. And that’s because UAV & Radar pings will reveal the enemy’s direction, essentially transforming them into a “free” Advanced UAV. But, of course, this Ultimate Perk is only useful for players that can have a UAV constantly in the air, which shouldn’t be challenging if they’re completing contracts. Unfortunately, there’s only one pre-made Perk Package that has Birdseye (Recon).
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, & Xbox Series X/S.
