Billie Eilish’s new perfume campaign is dark — & dripping wet.
In the ads for her new scent, dubbed Eilish No. 2, the 20-year-old Grammy winner poses in a pitch-black downpour, dressed in looks including a sheer, loosely knit dress & a plunging wrap top.
“I really liked the idea of a darker, rainy world for Eilish No. 2,” Eilish said in a statement.
“We started with the original ‘Eilish’ elements of warmth & sweetness, but then added spicy & woodsy elements for a more sultry, & wet feeling.”
The star “wanted to convey a feeling of her sensual side & being drenched in these notes, worn to envelop the skin,” according to a press release.
The campaign seemed to echo Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” music video, in which she’s seen dancing in the rain on a dark night.
“The launch of Eilish was a worldwide success. It was exciting to see fans respond so enthusiastically to Billie’s debut fragrance, a scent that she had been chasing for years,” Parlux President Lori Singer said in the press release.
“As a passionate fragrance enthusiast, Billie was excited to develop her new scent, took time out of her busy schedule to Approach to the fragrance lab to meet & work directly with the perfumer.”
Added Singer, “Billie knew exactly what she wanted to create; a wet, rainy, sultry, woody floral scent called Eilish No.2.”
Like its predecessor, the new scent’s bottle was inspired Eilish’s favorite parts of the body — the chest, neck, & collarbone — & draws inspiration from the perfume’s name to create “a bond between the shape of the written number & the sensual curves of the bottle & imagery.”
Eilish No. 2 is vegan, cruelty-free & made with clean ingredients, & is also certified by PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies list of cruelty-free products.
Described as “a dark, woody & alluring” fragrance, Eilish No. 2 retails for $72 & will launch exclusively at BillieEilishFragrances.com on Friday.
