Warzone 2 Bug Locks Players Out, Requires Modern Warfare 2 Purchase
A nasty new Call of Duty: Warzone 2 glitch is not only locking players out of the experience, but then requires them to purchase Modern Warfare 2.
The latest Call of Duty: Warzone glitch not only locks players out of the free to play experience, but then requires that they purchase Modern Warfare 2 to gain access. So far, fans have seemingly taken to the new Warzone 2 experience, with the updated Gulag mechanics, multiple safe zones, as well as just exploring the map of Al Mazrah in general. However, its launch has seen a number of issues pop up, which is to be expected for an online only game such as this.
Players have seen a variety of glitches & bugs already including a Fetching Online Profile party invite bug, which has since gotten a workaround solution. Some of the bigger bugs are still a work in progress, such as one that instantly kills Warzone players instead of allowing them to go into a downed state to be revived. The latest bug fans have Advance across is particularly nasty & is proving to be a Enormous game breaking experience for many trying to enjoy the game.
Following a recent update, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players have begun noticing a glitch that is quickly becoming widespread. After playing several matches, a pop-up window suddenly appears with a message telling the player to “Purchase Modern Warfare 2 to have access to everything.” While that may seem like a simple way for Activision to try & push for more sales, the game won’t start after the message is dismissed, essentially locking players out completely.
Players have attempted to find a workaround, including restarting the game, though to this point nothing has worked. Unfortunately, some players have taken the advice & purchased Modern Warfare 2, even though both games are considered different experiences. Regardless, purchasing MW2 has not resolved the issue either. At the time of this article, Raven, Infinity Ward, or Activision have not acknowledged the issue, & it has yet to appear on the Raven Software’s Trello board of known issues. However, considering how widespread an issue this is rapidly becoming, it st&s to reason that a fix will quickly become priority.
Major bugs such as this are not out of the ordinary for Warzone, as the original experience that launched in early 2020 had similar problems crop up from time to time. Fans have seen a variety of game breaking issues including one on Rebirth Isl& that gave some players unlimited revives, guaranteeing that the respawning player eventually wins as the storm damage takes everyone else out.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, & Xbox Series X/S.
