The Best Weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Season 1

[ad_1]

Since the dawn of Call of Duty multiplayer, dedicated players have been able to find the most broken, overpowered loadout combinations, & proceed to use them to mercilessly wipe out those who aren’t in the know. With social media becoming more prevalent, more of the player base was able to learn about those overpowered classes, eventually leading to what’s known as a “meta,” a loadout that COD players need to use to do well. And while Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 does a surprisingly decent job of balancing its many weapons, there are certainly a few weapons that st& above the rest.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

When the first Call of Duty: Warzone dropped in 2020, it took a little while before players found the meta loadouts for the game. Back in the day, SMGs, snipers, & ARs ruled the game, & it’s really not all that different now. While players will be able to put up a fight with just about any of Warzone 2.0‘s weapons, there are a h&ful that can make players’ lives a lot easier.

The Best Weapons In Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s First Season

While the current Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 meta is subject to change at any time, there are a few weapons that st& out in the game’s first Season. Much like the first Warzone, the best all-around weapons in the sequel are assault rifles. Those that have been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s multiplayer will know just how lethal the M4 can be, & the same goes for Warzone 2.0.

Available from the get-go, the M4 is a powerhouse right out of the gate, with superb damage output & fire rate. Though its recoil can be a little shaky, the M4 has a bevy of attachments that can fix that, though players will need to purchase them from the Buy Station. Another great choice is the STB-556. Essentially this game’s version of the AUG, the STB-556 has slightly better range & recoil than the M4, making it the ideal choice for longer-range firefights. Even without attachments, these two weapons are easily some of the best in the entire game.

Again, like its predecessor, some of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0‘s best weapons are SMGs. Being designed primarily for close-range combat, SMGs are the go-to choice for those planning on staying within Warzone 2.0‘s cramped hallways & interior structures. By far the best SMG in Warzone 2.0 right now is the Fennec-45. With unparalleled fire rate, damage, & h&ling, the Fennec-45 is the best close-quarters choice by a long stretch, though its range isn’t necessarily the best. For those wanting a powerful SMG with slightly better range, the Lachmann Sub is a good choice. This game’s version of the MP5, the Lachmann Sub is just as hardy here as it always is, with great mobility, h&ling, range, & firepower, though its rate of fire isn’t nearly as high as the Fennec.

While LMGs, battle rifles, & marksman rifles all have at least one good weapon in them, it’s the sniper rifle category that will give players the most bang for their buck. With Warzone 2.0‘s new Al Mazrah map being gigantic, it’s always a good idea for players to have a solid long-range option, & Warzone 2.0‘s sniper category provides the best. While they’ll all do the job, it’s Warzone 2.0‘s MCPR-300 that’ll do it most efficiently. A headshot from the MCPR-300 will kill an enemy instantly, regardless of any armor they’re wearing. On top of this, the MCPR’s body damage output is also pretty great, & its large magazine capacity gives less-accurate players a bit more leeway.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, & Xbox Series X/S.
