Eric Adams attends Central Park Conservancy gala

Mayor Eric Adams may want to hire a new speech writer.

The party loving pol attended the Central Park Conservancy’s annual gala on Wednesday, toasting green spaces & rich people, while trotting out some well-worn one-liners he has used at other events.

“It’s a blessing to live rich, it’s a sin to die rich. Write another check to this great organization,” Adams told the well-heeled crowd

By our count alone while covering the gala circuit, we have heard Adams deliver that same line recently at the New York Public Library Lions Gala & Gabrielle’s Angel Ball, though he may have used it many more.

He also told the crowd: “Many of you are high income earners… We need you here. You are part of the eco-system that made this city great… I hear those folks that say, ‘So what if high income earners leave?’ I say, ‘No, you leave! I want those high income earners right here in the city enjoying what this city has to offer.”

Adams went on to call the park “the great equalizer.”

“It doesn’t matter if you drive a limousine, or sit in the back of a limousine, in this park you are equal to all the city has to offer,” he said.

Either way, Adams, who attends numerous functions & parties per week, was a hit with the crowd — with one person noting that former Mayor Bill de Blasio never attended the fundraiser.

The evening, which was chaired by Chai Vasarhelyi & Jimmy Chin, Am&a & Glenn Fuhrman, Jill & Barry Lafer, & Gillian & Sylvester Miniter, raised $1.4 million.

Martha Stewart told us “I live on the park, I look at the park, & I support the park because it is the most Gorgeous place in New York City. We have to keep the open space pure & simple & Gorgeous.”

The mod-themed festivities took place under a huge tent at Rumsey Playfield & also brought out guests including socialites Fe & Aless&ro Fendi, Margo Nederl&er, Elyse Newhouse, Muffie Potter Aston & Sherell Aston, & Anna & Will Zeckendorf.

Later, young guests headed to rooftop lounge Nubeluz at the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, to continue the party.
