God of War Ragnarok never runs out of entertaining Favors that take players deeper into the game’s lore & hidden secrets. On one Favor, Kratos & his companions investigate what really happened to Sigrun & how did she become the queen of Valkyries. The Favor instantly starts the moment players reach one of two areas, the Oarsmen or the Derelict Outpost.
In this God of War Ragnarok Favor, players will travel to multiple l&marks in Midgard to collect & combine a Key that opens the door to some exquisite treasury.
How To Start Sigrun’s Curse Favor In God Of War Ragnarok
To Start Sigrun’s Curse Favor In God Of War Ragnarok, players must travel to the Shores of Nines, north of Midgard. When moving into the area, don’t take the apparent roads.
Instead, find the side branches & burn them with Kratos’s Blades of Chaos in God of War Ragnarok. Jump to the other cliff & proceed to The Oarsmen area where small stairs lead into an open room.
Inside that room, Sigrun’s Curse Favor starts while Kratos is busy defeating the enemies.
At the end of the room, Kratos can climb outside into a mini-boss fight. The battle is challenging with many undead helping the huntress. Defeat her & climb the chains into the next area.
Once Kratos reaches the top, he’ll Approach across a giant chain holding a gate from opening. Pull the chains by pressing the circle button, which will open a shortcut at the start of the level.
Now Kratos can proceed forward. Take the first half of the Broken Vault Key, & return through the shortcut to continue the search for the second half.
To continue Sigrun’s Curse Favor in God of War Ragnarok, move south of Midgard map into The Derelict Outpost. There, players will continue the search for the second part Broken Vault Key.
When moving forward, there will be a couple of these wooden lifts that need Kratos’s Leviathan Axe. Throw the Axe at their golden round targets to move them around into the right place.
However, one wooden lift appears to be too low & players must find the chains to elevate the mechanism.
After defeating a horde of powerful undead enemies, Kratos will Approach across a wooden lift stuck inside the mountain. To free the lift, find the chains & pull it down then throw the Axe to move it into the right position.
Once the wooden lift reaches the correct place, use the chains again to elevate it back.
From there, Kratos will get the second half of the Key in God of War Ragnarok.
Kratos & his companions will search for an ab&oned treasury related to this Key. That place is south of Midgard, called The Lost Treasury. The moment players reach the area, a horde of undead will greet them, protecting a golden broken clock.
The clock is st&ing in between Kratos & his treasure, so players should remove it to avoid his rage. Start by pulling the clock to the left side using the Blades of Chaos.
Climb it & keep going left into the higher floor. There, players can scavenge some Hacksilver & items.
Find the destroyed structural column & drag it to the left with the Blades, so it will partially block the Clock’s movement.
Now, grab the Clock again, move it to the right since it won’t complete its movement, & reveal the locked door & its two locks on each side.
Use the mechanism in front of the clock to open both locks but don’t leave it yet. First, let the companion fire a Sigil Arrow at each lock & follow it with Kratos’s Axe.
Once players make it inside, the door will close again & Freya will be locked outside. Hit the key next to the door to let her in.
The Vault is covered with infected branches. Again, make the companion lunch Sigil Arrow, but this time, hit the Sigil mark with the Blades’ R2 button. Use the Key to enter the Vault & defeat the last enemy.
Inside, players will learn the truth about Sigrun’s Curse & that will mark the end of this Favor.
