In case any players were hungry, one Minecraft user decided to build an enormous pizza in the game, complete with its own delivery box. Going down as one of the most successful indie games of all time, Mojang’s IP is continuing to inspire some interesting creations & projects. After well over a decade, with the alpha release coming out in 2009, it’s hard to imagine that such humble beginnings could grow to become such a force in the gaming industry, with players always hungry for more.
Speaking of hunger, food in Minecraft is pretty vital when trying to survive in the blocky realm. From wheat farms to cooking pork to baking cakes, the game has encouraged fans to utilize its culinary aspects, whereas a lot of titles may only offer up food as an optional feature or perhaps just to make the world look more believable. Not in this game, & there are instances in which some people will go that extra step & make gigantic versions of their favorite meal.
Take Reddit user Alex&er-00AK as an example. In a recent thread, they showed a few images of an enormous pizza they built in Minecraft, with the post’s title asking if anyone is hungry. According to the user, the pie measures over 200 blocks & around five or six blocks tall. Initially, Alex&er-00AK wanted to make it 101 blocks across, but evidently it just seemed to keep growing. A couple of people in the thread have asked if they can have a slice, & while it’s sadly not a real pizza, it does look pretty delicious. The user has even been taking joke orders from others, offering up some sides to go with their imaginary food.

This is the power of Minecraft. It has afforded players the opportunity to really get creative & share their work with others. There have been so many projects & builds that have Approach about over the years that it’s impossible to list all of the most noteworthy ones. For example, currently, a Minecraft map is celebrating the World Cup with a soccer-themed download. There have even been instances of the game helping to raise money & awareness for charity.
What some may consider to be a video game more suitable for children is actually one that transcends age groups. People from all walks of life & from all regions of the globe have been letting their imaginations run wild in what some may see as the digital equivalent of LEGO.
