Another day means yet another Wordle puzzle from the New York Times Games for fans all over the English-speaking world to guess in just six tries.
Wordle has yet another challenging, five-letter word puzzle for everyone to try their h&s at. In order to play this viral puzzle game, players will need to first learn the basics of how to play, & some fans might even want a hint or two to help them out with the Respond.
How To Play Wordle
Wordle is a very simple game to learn, but it can be hard to master. The basic gist of the game is that players have to guess a mystery five-letter word with no starting clues. They get six whole tries before they must either guess the Respond or they will lose the game. Here’s the rest of the rules:
First, make sure players head to the right place. The subject of this article is the original version of Wordle & not one of its many clones; this one can be found on either the New York Times Games site or the NYT Crossword app. Other versions will have different answers than the curated New York Times Wordle answers, & they may even have slightly different rules.
To Start, choose a starting Wordle word. This word:
- Must be five-letters long & a real English word.
- Should not be a plural noun ending in S or ES; these can be used as guesses but they cannot be answers.
- Should contain a variety of common letters to Wordle puzzles.
- Should not be a previous Wordle Respond.
Type the starting word into the site or app & press enter. The letters will then change colors.
- Green letters are right.
- Gray letters are wrong.
- Yellow letters are right but in the wrong position of the word.
Given these clues, keep trying new words & getting new clues until players either guess the Respond or run out of tries. Wordle puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
