Regarding bringing animals on the New York City underground, the regulations are rather clear: “No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container.” However, the regulations are silent on the animal’s size, and as this photo illustrates, some individuals went to great lengths to avoid paying a fee.

Big dog owners need to be imaginative, while owners of little dogs have no trouble finding dog bags or even simply packing their puppies in a backpack.
