War Dog Reunites With His Best Friend

0

Working canines in the military receive extensive training. They are trained to help soldiers and police officials in some of the most hazardous situations on earth by sniffing out explosives and drugs. As a result, the relationship that develops between a handler and a dog is special and goes beyond that of a pet and owner. Szultan, a disgruntled German shepherd with a bone-crushing bite, was given to Staff Sgt. Angela Lowe for training, and she knew it would take a lot of time and patience. However, after they hit it off, their friendship became solid, and Lowe realized she could rely on Szultan. Lowe eventually had to leave the Air Force due to the persistent strain on her body from training dogs.

Szultan, though, remained on her mind throughout the years, and when she learned the dog was being retired, she knew she had to find a way to bring him back. Lowe contacted Mission K9 Rescue, a charity that specializes in finding new homes for military working dogs, because he was unable to drive out to Joint Base Charleston to pick him up. Kristen Mauer and Louisa Kastner, co-founders of Mission K9, intervened to reunite Szultan and Lowe, as they have done for many other dogs.

Nobody else wanted the dog that he adopted. It ultimately saved his life.

A dog is supposedly a man’s best buddy.

One New Jersey man’s rescue dog has evolved into much more for him.
By the time Sadie, a 100-pound German Shepherd, arrived at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in Oakland, New Jersey, in early 2020, she had been turned away by three other shelters. Sadie struggled with anxiety and felt particularly nervous around men.
Megan Brinster, executive director of RBARI, told CNN that her organization serves as a type of last resort for dogs that have been abandoned. “We’ve become pretty skilled at placing these kinds of dogs.

According to Brinster, “We had assumed Sadie would end up in a woman’s home.” “However, as soon as we introduced Brian to her and he saw her, we knew it was love at first sight. She covered him completely.

Myers brought Sadie home at the beginning of October. Myers and Sadie became good friends amid the seclusion of the pandemic after spending three months getting to know one another and exercising together.
“We were able to work through all of her (anxiety) issues,” Myers told CNN. She is an extraordinary dog.

Sadie demonstrated precisely how exceptional on January 18.

Myers, who had recovered from Covid-19 earlier that year, claimed, “I woke up one night to use the restroom and when I got up, I felt my legs give out from underneath me and I fell to the floor.”

“I couldn’t reach my phone since I was confined in a little space between my bed and the wall. I pondered, “How long will I be stuck here before someone finds me?,” as I lay there on the floor.

Sadie came to Myers after realizing something was wrong and began kissing his face and acting distressed.

The moment I put my hand on her collar in an effort to comfort her, she started dragging me across the room, where I was able to grab my phone and call for assistance.

Myers and his devoted friend had a heartfelt reunion following almost three weeks at a recovery center.

She was embracing me, kissing me, and kicking my mask off, all I could think was, “I love this dog,” recalled Myers, who is now preparing to pen a young-adult novel about Sadie.

We are certain that the sensations are reciprocal, if there is one thing we are certain of.

‘Left to be eaten by wild creatures,’ a newborn abandoned infant is saved by a stray who carries it to safety.

The infant, who had scratches and bruises when taken to the hospital, is now OK.
According to accounts, a stray dog found an abandoned infant that was reportedly left by her mother to be eaten by wild animals and miraculously transported her to safety.

According to reports, the animal discovered the infant girl in a rubbish bag on Wednesday inside the town hall in Tripoli, in northern Lebanon.

When the dog started pulling the sack with the infant inside, a bystander overheard a wailing sound coming from it, according to The National.

Before being brought to the Tripoli Government Hospital, the infant was taken to the Islamic Hospital.

People reported her health as being serious but stable, and her survival as a “miracle.”
Online images of the infant reveal that she suffered wounds and bruises during the tragic incident, but she is believed to have healed swiftly.

Many people have pointed out that the puppy “has more humanity” than the “criminal” parents, sparking considerable indignation and condemnation of the horrible deed.

One Twitter user, Farid, commented, “Some say the dog is an unclean animal and, of course, this is not true.”

“The dog has a lot more kindness, intelligence, and humanity.”

Animals exhibit greater compassion than people, according to another tweet.

A lot of people have also expressed interest in adopting the abandoned infant.

Police are looking into who was responsible for the heinous abandonment.

As living conditions in the poor nation get worse, anecdotal reports of child abuse and dumping are on the rise.

The second-largest city in Lebanon, Tripoli, has the highest rate of poverty in the nation.

Scientists applaud the advancement in monitoring British wildlife that “only AI made it possible.”

Scientists applaud a breakthrough in monitoring British animals that “only AI made it possible.”
In hundreds of hours of recordings, technology demonstrates its ability to identify dozens of species.
In order to identify animals and birds and to track their movements in the wild, researchers have constructed arrays of AI-controlled cameras and microphones. This technology, according to the researchers, could assist address Britain’s rising biodiversity crisis.

The robot monitors have been tested at three different places and have recorded noises and photos that computers have used to map the positions of various species and identify them. Numerous bird species were distinguished based on their songs, and AI analysis was used to locate and identify foxes, deer, hedgehogs, and bats. There are no human observers present.

Pipstrelle Bat Specie

The size of the operation is significant, according to Anthony Dancer, a conservationist with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL). “From these test areas, we have collected tens of thousands of data files and thousands of hours of audio, and we have recognised a wide variety of creatures from them. Using human observers at that size would not have been possible. It was only made feasible by AI.

The project’s test locations were selected on land next to train lines in London’s Barnes, Twickenham, and Lewisham. The sections are gated off to prevent people from wandering onto the tracks and are only sometimes visited by rail maintenance personnel. They are owned by Network Rail, which was instrumental in the project’s conception.

Therefore, it was simple to access relatively untamed territory, which was crucial for commencing our project, according to Dancer.

And now that we have shown the technology to deliver on its promise, we may move on to other domains.

More than 52,000 hectares of land are owned by Network Rail, and many of these parcels are important for preserving the country’s biodiversity.

Consider species like the Eurasian blackcap, blackbird, and great tit, suggested Neil Strong, Network Rail’s biodiversity strategy manager. All three species were identified by AI from the acoustic signals gathered by our sensors at our three test sites. “All three species demand healthy surroundings, including sufficient quantities of berries and nuts. That’s good and offers crucial standards for future biodiversity measurements.

Six different species of bats, including the common pipistrelle, were among the other critters the AI monitors located.

Dancer told the Observer that “Bats almost certainly use railway bridges for roosting.” Therefore, we can aid in their protection if we can use AI monitors to get more precise information on the precise locations of their roosts.

Strong emphasised this point. “In the past, we’ve had to make educated guesses about the numbers of local species based on the dead creatures that have been left by the track or the side of the road, such badgers. In this method, we are considerably better able to estimate population numbers.

The investigation also found that the hedgehog travels on UK train lines on a regular basis. Because they are caged in, hedgehogs are severely restricted to certain areas, according to Strong. But there are workarounds for that issue. Hedgehog highways are being built on rail lines in Scotland by making tiny holes in the bases of all newly installed fences to allow for hedgehog passage but prevent bigger animals from entering.

The New Forest and Chobham in Surrey will now be included in the expansion of the usage of AI monitors by ZSL and Network Rail. “We were pleasantly surprised with the relatively healthy levels of wildlife we found in London,” said Dancer. “On the sites that we have already tested, we found signs of more than 30 species of bird and six species of bat, as well as foxes and hedgehogs.” “However, it wasn’t actually the project’s major goal.

The goal was to show how AI-driven technology may be used to effectively survey wildlife on Network Rail land as well as in other UK locations by combining acoustic and video traps. It will detail how species are adapting to climate change and how we may manage vegetation in locations outside only close to train lines.

The main thesis is that artificial intelligence (AI) will be crucial for maintaining biodiversity as the country’s climate changes. Strong claims that “this technology will require the analysis of tens of thousands of hours of recordings and hundreds of thousands of images.” “Really, the only thing computers can do for us is that.”

Vet sings an Elvis song to a worried dog, and the internet melts with joy.

Sometimes, a pill or a bottle of medicine isn’t the best treatment.

Simple, sincere actions may really make a difference, as shown in the following anecdote.
Meet Fox Hollow Animal Hospital’s caring veterinarian, Dr Ross Henderson.
Along with tending to his furry patients, he also comforts them in a special manner that doesn’t include drugs.

It involves music.

Ruby, a young golden retriever, was due for surgery one day. She was clearly anxious about what was happening since she was restless, pacing about her kennel, and crying. Still, Dr. Henderson had a strategy. “She was running around and jumping up on the kennel, whimpering.” I chose to sing to her since I was playing my guitar there.
He choose that song? The romantic anthem “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.

And then, as if by magic, Ruby’s fear subsided.

She became more at ease and placed her head on my lap. It serves as a fantastic example of the power of music.
This was not an isolated incident.

In order to calm their animal patients, Dr. Henderson and his staff have always employed music. It’s a custom that adds a sense of familiarity to the hospital setting while putting the animals at rest.
At the workplace, Dr. Henderson proudly displays his guitar.
Many animals find going to the vet to be an unfamiliar and perhaps frightening experience
Since many animals have never visited a veterinary clinic, everything we can do to show them some affection is beneficial, particularly in light of how much love they show to humans.
There are exceptions, however, as there are in everything. Greg, the clinic’s resident cat, is uninterested in the musical performances. The majority of animals, nevertheless, react well.
And Dr. Henderson would consider it a success if this tale motivates even one person to sing to their pet.

Bear mother and her two cubs were seen enjoying a fun backyard “pool party.”

On a scorching day, the homeowner graciously let these bears to cool down.
A surprising family chose to cool themselves in a nearby pool on a hot summer day in Arcadia, California.

Everyone was drawn to the lake to escape the heat as the sun blazed down, creating glistening reflections on the water’s surface.
And the appeal was just too much for a mother bear and her two playful cubs to resist.
The peaceful Arcadia neighbourhood was caught off guard when the bear family made their way to the pool. The mother guided her pups towards the shimmering oasis with a regal step and keen gaze.

The bear family was new to the region, but it seemed like the mother could feel that this was a secure location.

The owner of the pool remained in their home and kept an eye on the family from a safe distance.
The cubs’ playful side emerged as they drew nearer to the water.
They initially tentatively probed the waters, their little paws casting dancing ripples in the sunshine.

The little children’s youthful excitement was a sight to witness as their initial apprehension quickly turned to pure delight as they splashed and played.
The mother bear, ever the vigilant guardian, kept a watchful eye on her cubs.
While she also sought refuge from the heat, the security of her cubs was her first priority.

She sometimes joined in on their activities, her enormous size creating waves that the cubs liked.
The mix of the natural and the urban in this sight was stunning.
Nature has carved out a moment of sheer bliss right here, in the middle of a busy neighbourhood.

The bears, who were often seen as ferocious and menacing, revealed a side that was gentle, caring, and very human-like in their search of pleasure.
The bear family continued their swimming adventure as time went on. These wild tourists were playing in the pool, which had already hosted innumerable human visitors.

Their antics, which ranged from synchronised swimming to lighthearted wrestling, portrayed an image of family love and togetherness.

Additionally, the bears entered the patio where they began to play with some of the homeowners’ shoes.

The fact that the homeowners’ shoes were being chewed on didn’t bother them. They really adored being able to see this wonderful drama unfold in their garden.
The visit had to end, however, as with all wonderful things.

As the sun set, the surroundings took on a golden tone. The mother bear gathered her cubs after noticing the shift in the air.

They took one more glance at the pool before leaving to return to the wild, the setting light reflecting off their wet fur.
The homeowners had a lasting recollection that they will treasure. The day the bears visited was not simply an ordinary day.

It served as a reminder of the wonder of nature and the serendipitous events that add to life’s true charm.
A straightforward pool in the middle of urban Arcadia served as the setting for a story of discovery, pleasure, and the eternal link of family.

On that day, the natural and the urban coexisted, and the outcome was nothing short of magical.

A guy constructs a 4-acre gated fence for his 45 rescued dogs so they can run around and play(VIDEO)

Unfortunately, shelter dogs can go ignored due of their advanced age or terrible pasts. Unfortunately, some individuals who have lived their whole lives in shelters never know what it’s like to have a permanent home.

However, the majority of the personnel at the shelter go above and beyond to make sure that these animals get the care they need in the meantime. Another group of individuals who devote their whole lives to assisting animals and providing them with love and care are rescue workers.

This guy ultimately acquired 45 dogs and a grey wolf. Yes, you did read it correctly. 45 dogs!! He greets them all and takes wonderful care of them.

As if adopting them wasn’t enough, he constructed them a four-acre enclosure so they could run around and play. In the video shown below, we first see the dogs being released out of the pen.

As soon as the gate is opened, all 45 dogs start wagging their tails nonstop and rush inside the cage. Everyone loves it! Being there to see this is incredibly touching.

Knowing that kindhearted people like this guy exist in the world is consoling.

See how internet users responded when a mother swan died of “heartbreak” after youths destroyed her nest.

Just a few weeks after some youths destroyed her nest and cracked her eggs with bricks, a female swan passed away from what was allegedly a “broken heart.”

A gang of adolescent males from Bolton, United Kingdom reportedly threw bricks at the nest last month. Three of the swan’s six unborn cygnets died as a result, and the nest was destroyed.

The mother’s mate is thought to have broken up with her as a result of stress after the attack. Wildlife activists who checked the area reported finding two additional cracked eggs in addition to the first three.

The bereaved mother was discovered dead a few days earlier, unable to take the loss of her spouse, nest, and eggs. Wildlife campaigner Sam Woodrow said the swan most likely passed away from a “broken heart” brought on by losing her lover.

Some images of the swan in her nest were published online by a man by the name of Michael James Mason. He described the circumstances surrounding her death and claimed that in addition to the youths, a duck and a moorhen also ‘harassed’ her.

“I really don’t want to do this post today because it comes. with great sadness. I have tried to keep you updated on this Swan who laid six eggs, three were destroyed by youths, she was then harassed by dogs jumping in and harassed by a Duck and Moorhen and two more eggs were lost leaving her with one egg. Her mate left her on her own and sadly i was informed this morning she was found slumped in her nest dead. Just feel like crying as I have followed her progress for about 12 weeks,” Manson wrote.

HEARTWARMING MOMENT. MOTHER GORILLA KISSES HER NEWBORN BABY AT US ZOO AFTER GIVING BIRTH

0

In this very amazing footage, a mother gorilla and her young child enjoy a tender moment. According to how quickly this mother-baby duo unites after their first encounter, it is more than true that the love between a mother and her kid is the most potent force on Earth.

At the National Zoo of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., a Western Lowland gorilla lovingly cuddles her newborn baby boy. The 15-year-old gorilla Calaya gave birth for the first child, making the event even more emotional and memorable for everyone at the zoo. Fortunately, nobody was let down because Calaya and her darling baby Moke quickly won over everyone’s hearts. Lingala, the infant’s name, means “small one” in the Lingala tongue.

His son received a barrage of kisses and embraces from Calaya as she cradled him tenderly in her arms to convince him that he would always be loved and cared for. Every birth is a momentous occasion since the Western Lowland Gorilla is a critically endangered species that is unique to Africa.

Meredith Bastian, curator of primates at the Smithsonian Institution Zoo, described the birth of the western lowland gorilla as “really remarkable and momentous” for both the institution and the species as a whole. Our aim was to provide Calaya with the best possible foundation for success because she is a first-time mother. Both Calaya and the zookeepers have my full approval.
