The Redmi Note 12 has a starting price of $219 for the 4GB RAM and 128 GB storage model. While the Realme 10 has a starting price of $250 for the 4GB RAM and 128 GB storage model. Both devices are now available for purchase and you can use the box at the bottom of this post.

Display

Both smartphones have Super AMOLED displays but the Redmi Note 12 has a brighter, 6.7” bigger screen and a higher refresh rate of 120Hz. It has IP53 dust and splash-resistant rating too. In contrast, the Realme 10 is more compact with 6.4” 90Hz and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Now for security, both smartphones have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric verification. The Redmi Note 12 takes the crown here but if you like a smaller phone then you can consider getting the Realme 10.

Camera

The Realme 10 has superior camera systems on paper even though in a real-life scenario, the differences are minimal. It comes with a 50MP higher resolution camera, alongside a 2MP secondary sensor for depth field. While the Redmi Note 12 uses a 48MP main camera but with a similar secondary sensor.

Even the Realme 10 has a better front camera. It features a 16-megapixel selfie, while Redmi Note 12 has an 8MP. Unfortunately, both front cameras can only record video at 1080p max resolution.

Xiaomi featured the latest Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset on the Redmi Note 12. The advantage it has over its rival is 5G connectivity. The Realme 10 is limited to 4G because it uses the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. While as for the memory option, both share a similar capacity from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Same as the storage capacity too.

Software-wise, the Redmi Note 12 boots MIUI 13 skin based on Android 12 out of the box. While the Realme 10 booted RealmeUI 3 based on Android 12. Both tech companies are expected to give at least 2 years of OS upgrades.

Realme 10 vs Redmi Note 12 has a 5,000 mAh battery capacity with 33W fast charge support. Their respective pro models have faster-charging systems but again those are more expensive too.

Realme 10 vs Redmi Note 12: Conclusion

These two smartphones are more similar than they are not. Both are priced alike, feature similar battery capacity, have the same memory sizes, and features Super AMOLED displays. However, where the Redmi Note 12 takes the crown is the 5G capability that is found lacking on the Realme 10.
