Comical Skyrim Mod Gives Everyone a Tiny Head

A mod for Skyrim that shrinks everyone’s head may be one of the funniest things fans of the game are likely to encounter. Anyone who’s been gaming for some time, especially in the PC community, knows that modding can add a lot of value to a vanilla experience, be it improved graphics, new characters, or something a bit more silly. Some people will remember the funny mods released for Stray, which turned the feline protagonist into Garfield or incorporated the unintentionally hilarious “Jason!” moment from Heavy Rain.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Of course, The Elder Scrolls 5 is certainly not safe from the h&s of modders. There are many that Approach about which have helped extend the game’s already long shelf-life & give a greater sense of immersion, such as the Skyrim mod that adds a treasure map journal, not to mention all the ways that fans have made the visuals look even more stunning. However, some modifications are just plain ridiculous.

As spotted by PCGamer, Nexus Mods user SpongeBobHentaiSimulator recently unleashed “Cursed Skyrim – Hold The F**k Up,” a mod that shrinks everyone’s head to miniscule proportions. There are no additional gameplay elements or tweaks to the story. It just gives NPCs in Skyrim a tiny dome. A number of images show just how comical this can be, especially because all the characters have the same deadpan expressions on their face. They’re just harder to see because of how shrunk down they are.

Hilarity in the Bethesda 2011 epic is not unusual. Sometimes this is deliberate, such as the person who dragged Ulfric Stormcloak to Solitude in Skyrim VR, hoping they could get the rebel to apologize for their involvement in the civil war. However, some of the funnier moments are not meant to be, such as in the myriad of glitches players have experienced, & have been a part of the game pretty much since day one. If anything, certain mishaps with character models or scripting are part of the RPG’s charm, although the bugs that actually Fracture the game are less welcome.

With The Elder Scrolls 6 coming at some point, though no one really knows when, there will hopefully be renewed interest in taking the typically serious franchise & having fun with it. Given how old Skyrim is now, many fans are ready for the next installment. But at least in the meantime, there are mods that can keep players amused.

The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, & Xbox Series X/S.
