Britney Spears performed a classic song with a contemporary twist for her Instagram fans on Friday.

She made "...Baby One More Time," her famous tune from 1998, match the tenor of 2022.

She captioned the photo, "This is me yesterday doing washing and separating clothes."

"Here I am playing at my house with a different version of 'Baby' after not sharing my voice for a very long time—perhaps too long."

Spears' superb vocals are still featured in the new song, but it is unmistakably a darker rendition of the pop chart-topper.

She said in the description that she wanted to update the song but couldn't make any career decisions while in conservatory.

"I've requested for 14 years... a new rendition of "Baby" that the producers put together... but when the TEAM said NO and served me 4 girls,

including my sister, doing a 5 minute version of 4 remixed songs without effort or dancing...

great shot and new sound!!! They embarrassed me and made me feel worthless! "The truth stinks!" Writer Spears

The conservatorship ended in November of 2021, and since then a lot has changed for Spears.

She's been more honest about her feelings online, travelled and enjoyed life, and married Sam Asghari.

The singer "talked a lot about her career" and "wants to give her fans a new album," a source told People. She's single-minded.
