It may not seem like much to some of you, but it is quite unusual for a 16-year-old horse to give birth. American Paint horse Tiki, sixteen, became pregnant with twins. To the surprise of everybody, the ultrasound clearly showed that she will give birth to twins.
She gave birth to an 86-pound stallion foal named Woodcock Pocket and a 59-pound filly named Charming Opal ten minutes after her labour began. Though smaller in height, the filly performed stronger than the stallion. Given that most mothers only tend to one of their newborn foals, Tiki is an exceptional mother since she took care of both of them.
